We had asked for this product from the manufacturer in exchange for an honest analysis.  Our first impressions were great, as it arrived neatly sealed and shrink wrapped to ensure nothing would seap out of the package.  The airless pump is nice and appealing to the eye, and all the packaging in this brand is top notch in our past experiences.

Upon letting out the substance, it’s an off-pink color.  Deep peels range in color, but are usually an orange or brown tone, so this was expected.  It applies to the skin really easily, and is supposed to be on the skin for about 20 minutes.  The deep peel feels nice and goes on easy, and did not dry out the skin, which some facial peels can do, in our experience.

Once left on for twenty minutes, it was rinsed off with “tepid water” as the instructions read.  The result was a much more shiny skin after using this twice weekly for about two weeks.  It seemed the skin tones on our faces were a little more colorful and less dull, which is expected.  Being people who are striving to complete skin care regimens to the fullest, this is a product that should be considered to anyone who does not have a strategy on place for skin exfoliation.  The Age Reversal mask does just that, and can be a great addition to a moisturizing or anti aging cream routine.

Today, we’ll look at what’s been selling in the category of dark circle treatments.

Telomere Shortening And Aging

There are a few vital parts to the human body that are intricate in the success – or failure – in the way the human body ages over time.   Aging has been a hot topic in recent years and the growth of the anti aging skin care market has been out of control.  Many companies are making cutting edge products that are essentially slowing the aging process and helping people look years younger, all with constant application of a skin cream.

One such attack on aging starts with one of the vital parts I mentioned above – telomeres.

What exactly are telomeres, and how do they play a role in the aging process?

Telomeres are strands of DNA that occupy the end of chromosomes which work to protect your real DNA each time a cell splits or divides.  Because of the roundabout way a cell divides, the last part of a chromosome can NOT be copied verbatim.  In layman’s terms, a portion becomes dismembered and chopped off.  The thought process was that each time a cell divides the telomeres become shorter each and every time until they are gone.  When reaching that point, the “real DNA” can’t be duplicated any more and the cell simply ages and no longer replicates.

Topic at hand, telomeres become shorter over time.  Studies of older people show that their telomere lengths are in fact, shorter.  Once the telomeres can’t replicate any more, tissue damage sets in and the dreadful signs of aging start appearing on the skin’s surface.  This is documented by facts and research, we’re well past the theory stage with telomere science.

For the above reasons, many people who contribute to aging studies believe that telomeres are the “secret to aging well.”  It’s hard to argue with science, and telomeres are often compared by people to the plastic tips that hold together shoe strings.  You know when your shoe laces become frail and very flimsy?  The plastic tips hold them together so you can keep your sanity when lacing up your footwear.  Same theory applies to telomeres, picture them as the plastic tips that keep your skin healthy.

Of course, I could cite facts about telomeres and aging or DNA/cellular research until I’m blue in the face, but it’s best to just get down to the new breakthrough product that helps maintain and strengthen your skin’s DNA and tell you how you can add this to your arsenal to keep up with the latest research in looking younger.

Sculptra: The Cosmetic Filler Choice of Celebrities

Scupltra is a cosmetic procedure that has teh ability to take decades off of your perceived age.  Results can be dramatic and give a symmetric, youthful look.  It’s a different procedure than other dermal fillers in the aspect that it’s not a gel or other substance that is injected to get rid of a specific wrinkle or fold.  It works by stimulating the body to ceate it’s own new collagen.  When this is done properly, it creates a more gradual and very natural increase in facial volume, whic his why it’s so popular all of a sudden with celebrities.
